The paradigm is shifting and there’s an expanding opportunity to set yourself apart

Our pelvic floors are connected to our hips, our core. It’s an integral structure in our bodies. It needs so much more than just kegels or Mula Bandha.

However, pelvic floor health is painfully overlooked in traditional and modern yoga classes.

As yoga teachers, we’ve been led to believe that Mula Bandha alone is sufficient for building a healthy pelvic floor.

That’s where you come in.

When you gain a working understanding of the pelvic floor and how to affect it through
movement, it opens the door to exploring a whole new specialty. One that very few teachers are serving.

Beyond Mula Bandha instills you with the foundational understanding needed to help a very large and very underserved demographic. People stuck in the shadows — uncomfortable discussing and unaware of how to address their pelvic floor difficulties.

When we incorporate pelvic floor responsible modifications and poses into classes, our students can finally find relief

We created Beyond Mula Bandha to fill in the gaps that yoga teacher training leaves out.

We wanted to create a course that gives movement professionals like you the competence and confidence to help students develop responsive, functional, symptom-free pelvic floors.

Addressing common questions

Q: Isn’t pelvic floor work beyond my scope of practice as a yoga teacher?

A: No, absolutely not.
Like the hips, the core, the shoulders, the pelvic floor is a group of muscles that play a vital role in the daily function of our bodies. It’s just as important for movement professionals to understand and address as any other major muscle group.

Q: Isn’t addressing the pelvic floor taboo?

A: Even more reason your students need you to do this! Everyone has a pelvic floor. The darkness and shame surrounding this part of our bodies means more people (likely your students) are suffering silently from pelvic floor issues.

When movement professionals shed light on the pelvic floor, it gives people permission to speak up and seek the help they need. We create a new paradigm.

Q: I’ve completed 500 hours of yoga teacher training and already understand Mula Bandha. Will this course teach me anything I don’t already know?

A: We graduate YTT (even RYT-500 certifications) unaware of how to modify poses and integrate movements specific to helping our students build responsive, functional pelvic floors and mitigate exacerbating pelvic floor difficulties. This course will supplement your yoga teacher training with movements and modifications that do exactly that.

Q: What if I don’t have time to complete the course content as quickly as everyone else?

A: Beyond Mula Bandha is a self-paced course. We intentionally created this course so busy professionals like you can learn on your own time. There are only 2 live sessions and they are not compulsory. You receive forever access to recordings of all the course content including the live Q+A sessions.
